Hello everybody, I’m Code Name: Invisible Belt and I’m here to wow you with tales of courage and bravery! And on occasion assault you lot with the iron hand of learning. I’m here to speak of that brilliant thing known as sequential art, or more specifically

COMICS!
Did I use a fancy enough font? I hope so, I think one of the most interesting forms of art in humanity’s entire existence deserves it.
What you’re going to be seeing in this blog is an editorial excursion into the development, innovation, and understanding of the world of
COMICS!
C’mon you know you love that font! I’m going to do reviews, analysis’, and the occasional rant. Mostly though I’m going to be talking about the literary element of things. What I mean by this is that nagging little thing in a comic that says, “What makes me significant and worldly? What makes me more than just a panel, or just a story.”

Comics are an old thing, they’ve been around for years and years. They appear as early as cave paintings done by early humans and are so ingrained into society that they become representational in pictorial languages and in semiology today (That’s the study of signs for you unlearned folk!) In the 20th century comics have become a staple of life for a variety of people and characters from these comics have become ingrained as ideals. I’m going to talk about these ideal characters, both the well recognized and the obscure. I’m going to discuss how they exactly affect the society around them and how they represent themselves to the audience. Not only that, but I’m going to recognize their importance to continuity; that ever important line of narrative that wraps itself around all things.

If you’re not interested in the whole, “Big Literary World” sort of thing I’ll also be posting little funny things too like this picture of Jean Luc Picard shooting Chunk with a tommy-gun.
It is a logical impossibility to kill the Chunk
CHUNK IS INDESTRUCTIBLE!!!

Or perhaps I’ll post such things as my Panel of the Week.
That's the face I make too

Heck, you know what, maybe I’ll even post a Webcomic of the Week.
This is only the beginning of a mad scientist's rise to super-stardom

I’m not going to be limited to one format and I’m going to be full powered on a whole lot of things. In any case I hope you enjoy this blog and that everyone becomes a little more panel wise.
